The Capitol Christmas Tree will visit Ogden on Tuesday afternoon before continuing toward Washington, D.C.

The 80-foot Engelmann spruce will be displayed at the Forest Service Regional Office, 324 25th St. Smokey the Bear is set to make an appearance.

The Ogden visit will be the tree's only Utah stop. The tree will be on display Wednesday in Grand Junction, Colo., at Mesa Mall, 2424 Old U.S. Highway 6 and 50.

The tree will be lit at the U.S. Capitol in early December.

The tree was cut Nov. 2 on the Payette National Forest near McCall, Idaho.
